Bro Morgannwg Baby Loss Support Group

Supporting bereaved families
Bro Morgannwg Baby Loss Support Group has been supporting bereaved families for over ten years. The group is facilitated by two bereavement midwives from the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend, South Wales.

We meet the first Wednesday of every month at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend between 7pm and 9pm.  Our meetings offer a safe, confidential environment where predominately mothers come to share and listen to experiences of other bereaved mums.

Memorial Services
Every year we hold memorial balloon release services at Laleston and Margam Children's Gardens.
A beautiful way for families to remember their special little ones.
Each year in January we hold a memorial service at St Mary's Church in Bridgend. This dedicated service offers families the opportunity to remember their loved and lost babies  following the particularly difficult Christmas period.
Bro Morgannwg Baby Loss Support has founded two beautiful children's gardens of remembrance. One in Laleston and the other in Margam. Our children's gardens are dedicated to loved and lost babies and children, offering families the option to decorate their memorial areas.
Fundraising
As a registered charity, Bro Morgannwg Baby Loss Support Group helps fund improvements to the care given to bereaved families in the local community.
Through fundraising efforts by the group and kind donations we have been able to make improvements to facilities and care given to local families devastated by the loss of a baby.

Funds raised to date have enabled the group to refurbish the Blue Bell Suite at the Princess of Wales Hospital which is a quiet room offered to families to spend precious time together following their loss.

The group has also funded staff training and special equipment, all focused on offering comfort, care & support to local bereaved families.
